Duratorque is a superior suspension system that is suitable for fitment to use on all types of trailers. Using specially formulated rubber cords as a springing medium, Duratorques are totally self-contained and easily fitted to the trailer chassis. Because the two sides are not connected, each wheel is sprung independently. Components are either galvanised or electro-zinc plated for protection against corrosion.
Duratorques are fitted with a label showing the maximum carrying capacity over two wheels. This includes the weight of the trailer. When mounted in tandem the capacity is to be de-rated by 25%.
It is recommended that Duratorques be mounted to the trailer with the swing arms trailing. When mounted in tandem it is recommended that the distance between the tyres be kept to a minimum and should not exceed 150mm. The distance between the top of the tyres and the mudguards when the Duratorques are new and unloaded should be at least 120mm.
